DAY 01
Arrival at La Aurora International Airport, you will be greet and transferred by a representative to the beautiful colonial city, Antigua Guatemala, declared mankind’s inheritance by UNESCO. Overnight at Hermano Pedro (03***).
   
 
DAY 02
Transfer from hotel to Finca El Pilar, located in San Cristobal el Alto, 10 minutes from Antigua Guatemala. Enjoy the horse riding with the view of Panchoy Valley and Agua, Fuego & Acatenango volcanoes. Visit Cerro de la Cruz, San Juan del Obispo, San Pedro Las Hertas, Ciudad Vieja y Alotenango. Lunch break. In the afternoon, transfer to enjoy a walking tour, visiting the major important areas of Antigua: Central Park, Cathedral, San Francisco Church, Jade Factory. Overnight at Posada Hermano Pedro ( 03 *** ).
 
   
 
DAY 03
Transfer from Antigua Guatemala to Panajachel, one of the villages located on shores of Lake Atitlán, dubbed by the famous novelist Aldous Huxley as "the most beautiful lake in the world". This lake has a volcanic origin, a surface of 125 kilometres and three volcanoes as backdrop. Enjoy a boat trip across the beautiful Atitlán Lake, visit Santiago; colourful village where you will learn about the culture of the local people. Transfer back to Panajachel. Late afternoon transfer to Huehuetenango, which is located along the ridges of the Sierra de Los Cuchumatanes, the highest mountain chain of Central America, with altitudes that reach the 4,000 meters. Overnight at Los Cuchumatanes Hotel (04****).
 
   
 
DAY 04
Transfer from hotel to Chacol. Horseback Riding in Los Cuchumatanes, enjoy the trail that lead through the pines. The maze is formed by edgy trails with low stone walls and cactus, from wild plateau to hidden valleys, and some mountain stream with turquoise basins and trails along the gorges. After crossing several plateaux -suited for several trots and gallops, climb up towards the highest region (besides volcanoes) of Central Americas: 3,800 meters! The plateau becomes wilder, rockier and the clouds stick to the trees as if they were wrapped-up together. With Guatemala’s clear weather the view is fantastic; see towards the plains below the Todos Santos valley and the Chiapas Mountains (Mexico). Dinner and overnight camping..
 
   
 
DAY 05
Breakfast. Transfer from Huehuetenango to Quetzaltenango; a colonial city, currently considered the second most important city of Guatemala. The reason is due to its size, industrial, cultural and commercial activity, but at the same time it has preserved its colonial architecture. Transfer to visit Zunil and Almolonga; two beautiful towns famous for their colourful weavings and fertile land valleys. They are well known for their vegetables and fruits cultivated on small parcels. Transfer to Guatemala City.

DAY 06
Breakfast. Transfer from hotel to airport to take flight to Flores, Petén. Welcome in Santa Elena Flores Airport, were our representative will kindly assist and transfer you to visit Tikal National Park, located in Petén. Petén is huge territory considered one of the breathing lungs of the Earth, due to its dense vegetation. It has several protected areas, especially the Mayan Biosphere Reserve, which contains more than a million hectares of humid sub-tropical forest. Also Petén is the department with the richest vegetation and the most varied wildlife in the country. In Tikal, the main city of the Mayas, archeologists have discovered more than 3,000 pre-Hispanic constructions of temples, plazas, sanctuaries, ceremonial platforms and steles. Tour visits the Central Plaza, Northern and Central Acropolis, Temples I, II, III and V, Lost World Complex and Complexes N-Q-R. Lunch at the park. Overnight at Casona de la Isla Hotel (03***).
 
   
 
DAY 07
Transfer from the hotel to Linea Dorada Bus terminal at 8:00 a.m. Transfer from the bus terminal to El Remate. Ixlu, located in el Remate, is surrounded by small archaeological sites; exploring these sites while riding a horse is a great experience. Along the road you will also go through agricultural fields with different crops and forest valleys, in which your nature guide will explain several aspects of the floral, fauna and life styled of the local people. Among the species that you will probably see are howler and spider monkeys. Besides the archaeological site Ixlu, also visit Sacpeten, located near to salted water a lagoon. Back to Flores. Overnight in Casona de la Isla Hotel.
 
   
 
DAY 08
Transfer from hotel to airport to take flight back to Guatemala City. Enjoy the half day city tour. Transfer to airport for departure..
